A few days ago, there was a public outcry, which was rightly deserved, about the video of local teenagers killing and torturing an innocent little kitten.
It broke my heart for the little kitten because what animal deserves to be to be tortured and killed at the whim of bored kids wanting to experience what its like to kill something? I cried for the kitten. And I cried for those kids.
Why is our society full of kids like this and doing even worse, entering schools and killing innocent classmates? Where are we headed as a nation when we continue to raise kids like this?
The purpose of this letter is not really about the kitten or the kids or even guns but something more important. If we can cry out for the torture of a little kitten and feel sad for kids who do things like this, why can't we do the same for the tiny fetus inside the womb as the mother lays on a table about to allow a doctor to tear it apart limb by limb with a powerful suction tube?
Why can we not cry out and shed tears over a tiny human being who is pulled halfway out of his mother's womb and then killed as a pair of surgical scissors are stabbed into its skull and brain? All this for the sake of convenience and choice? And then both tossed into a garbage can like a piece of trash?
This country's total loss of life from all major wars is 13,160,582. The war on the unborn is now 58,000,000+. Many believe America is a country blessed by God. But tell me how God is going to bless a nation who allows this slaughter?
In Leviticus 20:2, Almighty God warns against the sacrifice of children to the false god Molech. When will our preachers stand up and preach against this madness from the pulpit? When will so called Christians rise up and demand that lawmakers stop this madness? When will America hear and respond to the voice crying out, "Repent!"
