Multi-brand retail chain V-Mart's net profit more than doubled to Rs 15.91 crore for the quarter ended March 2018.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 6.44 crore during the January-March quarter of the previous fiscal.
V-Mart's total income during the quarter under review stood at Rs 298.58 crore. It was at Rs 253.17 crore during the same period of the last fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing.
For the full 2017-18 fiscal, V-Mart reported a net profit of Rs 77.70 crore as against Rs 43.90 crore in the preceding fiscal.
Its total income in the financial year ended March 2018 stood at Rs 1,226.51 crore compared with Rs 1,005.86 crore in 2016-17.
The company's board recommended a final dividend of Rs 1.80 per equity share for the year ended March 31, 2018.
Shares V-Mart settled 2.22 per cent higher at Rs 2,315 apiece on the BSE today.
