PepsiCo's Praveen Someshwar to join HT Media as CEO and MD

HT Media has appointed Praveen Someshwar as chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director (MD). Someshwar, 51, is currently the senior vice-president (VP) and general manager (GM), North Asia, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and other islands in the Asia Pacific region at PepsiCo where he has spent over two decades, including stints as the CEO of both the beverage and the foods businesses of PepsiCo India.

Highly placed sources close to the development have confirmed the news to afaqs!.

Someshwar will start his journey with HT Media from August 1, 2018. He will replace Rajiv Verma, who recently resigned from the position of CEO - HT Media after spending 14 years with the company. Verma will continue to remain associated with HT Media in an advisory role.

A commerce graduate and a qualified Costs & Works Accountant, Someshwar has worked across functions including operations and sales.
