Hry starts working on concept of e–office

Haryana Government has started working on a concept of e–office. Under this, the aim is to make all the offices paperless by August 15.

Rakesh Gupta, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, alongwith the team of e-Governance is speedily working on this concept. The first meeting regarding the implementation of paperless offices has already been held, said an official spokesman.

He said that during the meeting, the presentation on e-office was given.  It was informed that on the pattern of Human Resource Management System, the data of employees engaged in dealing files would be prepared. Under this on the similar manner of e-mail, on file head, the files noting would be forwarded through e-file.

The competent officers after registering their remarks will give necessary directions or approve the draft noting online. This will result in bringing complete transparency and the PUCs (papers under consideration) will not be kept on pending by the dealing officials, the spokesman said.

He said that e-office will shift the focus from manual to digital movement of files thereby giving more emphasis on the use of information technology in the government working.

The next meeting has been convened on May 28 to further deliberate on this issue and ensure implementation of this ambitious concept by due date, he added.
