OKLAHOMA CITY – Day one of Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship was completely upside down.

The top four seeds fell to the bottom four seeds capped by No. 6 TCU's 12-2 romp of Texas Tech Wednesday night.

And after five games in the tournament No. 1 seed Texas was already headed back to Austin after a one-run loss and a two-run defeat.

No. 8 Kansas tripped the Longhorns (37-20), 3-2, and then the Sooners (35-22) won a an elimination game Thursday morning, 3-1, with five pitches holding UT to six singles at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The Red Raiders (38-16) faced Oklahoma State (29-23-1) in an elimination game Thursday afternoon.

The tournament is carried on TV by Fox Sports Southwest and Fox Sports Plus.
