Hamilton police are looking for a crew of suspects after a man on the Mountain was allegedly stabbed while trying to get a party under control.

Police were first called about a disturbance on Seneca Avenue, near Upper James Street and Rymal Road East, just before midnight on Sunday.

Investigators say a massive party had been going on, with over 100 people.

"The party spilled onto the street and during the efforts to get the party under control a young male was surrounded by five unknown males and received a stab wound to his leg and arm," a police news release reads.

"The victim was transported to hospital where he received medical treatment for his wounds. He was released the next day."

Anyone with information or pictures and video of the suspects is asked to contact police.
