Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

In Uttar Pradesh, devotees in large numbers are celebrating Ganga Dussehra today by taking holy dip in River Ganges and other Major rivers. AIR correspondent reports lakhs of devotees along with saints flocked to the Ghats of holy river Ganges in cities like Allahabad, Varanasi, Mirzapur,Hapur and Kanpur.

From early morning devotees are taking bath in the river and offering prayers to mark the festival. Hundreds of devotees are also taking holy dip at banks of other major rivers likes Yamuna, Gomti and Sarayu. At many districts Ganga Dushehra mela also started today. This festival marks the descent of river Ganges on the earth. State government is also organizing many functions on the occasion. Large scale Plantation drive on the banks of River Ganga also started today. Deepdaan and Ganga Aarti programs will be organized in evening on the banks of Ganges in many districs.
