When is Disenchantment released on Netflix?
Brand new adult animated comedy show Disenchantment is coming to Netflix this summer.
All episodes of the Matt Groening series will drop on the streaming site on August 17.
With a stellar cast of voice actors and trippy animation, Disenchantment looks set to appeal to fans of shows like Rick and Morty and Adventure Time.
And of course, with this being a Matt Groening project, fans of The Simpsons and Futurama will also be interested.
What is Disenchantment on Netflix about?
Disenchantment is a billed as a “medieval misadventure” set in a dilapidated kingdom called Dreamland.
The official synopsis is: “In Disenchantment, viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci.
“Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.”
Both Matt Groening and Josh Weinstein serve as executive producers.

Who is in the cast of Disenchantment on Netflix?
Disenchantment boasts an epic cast of comedy royalty, with lots of familiar voices set to pop up throughout.
Voicing the lead character Bean is Abbi Jacobson of Broad City fame.
Comedian Eric Andre voices her personal demon Luci and prolific comedy screenwriter and actor Nat Faxon plays the “feisty” elf Elfo.
Cartoon voice legend John DiMaggio is also involved but his role or roles have not yet disclosed.

Futurama fans will recognise DiMaggio as the voice of Bender and also Jake the Dog on Adventure Time.
The voice of Fry on Futurama, Billy West, will also be lending his voice to Disenchantment alongside Maurice LaMarche and Tress MacNeill.
Many cast members from English comedy show The Mighty Boosh will also be voicing characters with Noel Fielding, Matt Berry and Rich Fulcher all confirmed to be involved.
