Himachal reels under heat wave

Heat wave conditions occurred in some parts of with Una recording a maximum temperature of 42.6 degrees and the state capital a high of 27.8 degrees Celsius, the weatherman said.

"Most of the towns in Una, Bilaspur and district recorded a maximum temperature three to five notches above the average mainly due to prevailing dry weather," an here told IANS.

He said Shimla's maximum temperature was three notches above the average.

Sundernagar in district recorded a high of 37.9 degrees while the maximum temperature in Bhuntar in district was 36 degrees, Dharamsala in district was 32.4 degrees and Kalpa in district was 23.2 degrees.

The Met department said the would largely remain dry till May 28. After that there are chances of thundershowers.
