Just Dial Q4 profit jumps 54% to Rs 39 CrOnline classifieds platform Just Dial on Tuesday reported a near 54% jump in net profit for the quarter to March.

The robust earnings announcement sent the company's stock soaring 5.6% to close at 430.35 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Net profit grew to Rs 39 crore in the quarter, driven mainly by a 28.6% year-on-year rise in traffic (unique visitors) at 111.6 million and a 21.7% annual increase in total active listings at 21.8 million, the Mumbai-based firm said in a filing to stock exchanges.

Operational revenues grew 10.3% to Rs 200.5 crore. However, a strong growth in paid listings continued to elude the company, which saw paid campaigns grow only 2.2% to 4,45,110 at the end of the quarter.

Operational revenues for the entire fiscal year (2017-18) grew 8.8% to Rs 781.7 crore, the company said. Net profit for the year stood at Rs 143.2 crore, reflecting a growth of 18%. At 22.8%, operating EBITDA margins for Q4 FY18 were 513 basis points higher than the previous year even though sequentially it was lower by 82 basis points.
