HINCKLEY – A Hinckley woman arrested Tuesday after making 35 calls to 911 without needing assistance is free on bail, according to DeKalb County jail staff.

Around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, a Hinckley officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Miller Avenue, the home of 31-year-old Tracy A. Elwart, according to a press release from the Hinckley Police Department. It was determined that Elwart called 911 and hung up without speaking to dispatch, making it the 35th time she called the police without needing assistance, according to the release.

Elwart was charged with misuse of 911, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail, and $150 was posted about 1 a.m. Wednesday morning for her to be released.
