Grandma's Lake Coleslaw
- 1 (16 ounce) bag coleslaw mix
- 2 tablespoons grated onion
- 3/4 cup creamy salad dressing (aka Miracle Whip)
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- Place the coleslaw mix in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, stir together the grated onion, salad dressing, vegetable oil, sugar, and white vinegar.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the dressing over the coleslaw mix and toss well.
- Allow the coleslaw to sit covered in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving.
