MUMBAI: Bombay high court has summoned
Mumbai University vice-chancellor
Suhas Pednekar at 3 pm.
The V-C has been summoned in connection with a case between Hindi Vidya Bhavan's Global Academy school at
Marine Lines and the University.
The school moved vacation bench of Justices
Shahrukh Kathawalla and
Ajay Gadkari saying it wants to carry out painting of the structure but the University is not giving access to workers to put up scaffolding in the common area leading to the University's ground.
"The University and education institute fighting like this on painting? Are we to decide on such things? Ask your vice-chancellor to come at 3 pm," ordered Justice Shahrukh Kathawalla. The judge also said, "He has to remain present and not (appear) through advocate."
