Revlon appoints its first female CEO, Debra Perelman

Revlon Inc. said Wednesday that it has named Debra Perelman, the company's current chief operating officer, to the chief executive position, effective immediately. Perelman is the company's first female CEO. She is also the daughter of Ronald Perelman, the company's board chairman. Debra Perelman has been with Revlon for more than 20 years. Paul Meister, who has overseen operations on an interim basis, will continue as executive vice chairman of the board. Revlon shares are down 13.5% for the year to date while S&P 500 index is up nearly 2% for the period.
