An Albany man is facing multiple felonies in connection with a shooting and another incidents earlier this year.
Albany police said Di-quann Shabazz Powell, 22, was charged Tuesday with attempted murder and criminal use of a firearm in connection with an April 2 shooting
At about 5:40 p.m., Powell allegedly fired several shots at a 26-year-old man on Second Street, hitting him in the arm, back and leg. The man was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Powell was also wanted in an incident from Feb. 11. In that case, police said Powell pointed a handgun at a woman he was arguing with on Clinton Avenu. He was charged with menacing.
Powell was sent to Albany County jail. He had previously been arrested for robbery, assault and possession of controlled substances in Albany, Hudson and Troy. He was shot while riding a bicycle in Hudson last September.
