Indore: The work to revise voters’ list has begun in the district. For this, block level officers have been appointed. District returning officer has instructed that action will be taken against errant BLOs. District returning officer and collector Nishant Warwade presided over the meeting in this connection on Tuesday.
The assembly elections are due this year end. In addition to SDMs, tehsildars, naib tehsildars, the meeting was attended by ADM Kailash Wankhede and Ajay Dev Sharma. Collector Warwade said all the preparations should be done as per the schedule given by Election Commission. The election process should be taken seriously.
No negligence and indifference will be tolerated in election work. The collector issued directives to take take stock of the revision of ongoing voter list in their respective areas. Collector Warwade also reviewed the progress of Lease Rights Act. He instructed officers to complete the work of making the patta soon. He said strict action will be taken against errant chit fund companies, which committed fraud.
