All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

In Jammu and Kashmir, the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage was suspended from new battery car track this afternoon after a major fire broke out in Trikuta Hills in Katra town of Reasi district.

Reasi Deputy Commissioner P Ramaswamy said, the Yatra has been suspended on new battery car track while pilgrims are being allowed to use traditional old track to perform pilgrimage.

He said, around 25-30 thousand devotees from across the country, are stranded in Katra due to closure of registration counter to avoid rush on old track in view of forest fire.
