Police firing killed 796 civilians in 6 years
Atleast 10 people, including two women, have reportedly been killed in police firing in Tuticorin, an industrial city in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu. They were demanding the closure of Vedanta’s Sterlite Copper plan. In the last six years, as many as 796 people have lost their lives in police firing, according to national crime data.
