NEW DELHI: The Delhi Metro came to the rescue of union minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Tuesday when he almost missed a flight thanks to a traffic jam.

Union minister for housing and urban affairs, Puri, had to catch a flight on Tuesday morning but his car got stuck in a traffic jam on the way to the Delhi airport. Puri opted for the Airport Express Line instead and was all praise for Delhi Metro.

“While on my way to the airport this morning I found myself stuck in the midst of a huge traffic jam near Dhaula Kuan. Choice was to either miss the flight or hop on to the #Metro; so that’s what I did. Clean, safe & efficient, we have built a truly world class asset,” Puri tweeted.
