Competitive Battle Royale is coming to Fortinte in a big way in 2018.
And the first step in that process is the Solo Showdown LTM, which now has its winner confirmed.
Epic Games released the week-long competitive as a precursor to bigger eSports plans and it proved very popular.
Fortnite gamers had to play at least 50 games and try and grab as many points as possible, which were earned through match placement.
Players who finished in the top 100 receive V-Bucks for participating, which will start to be handed out later this month.
Here are the different rewards for finishing in the top 100:
In the event of a tie, the following statistics would be be used as tiebreakers: total wins, total eliminations, and average placement during the Solo Showdown LTM.
However, this wasn’t needed, with the top player getting a total of 4881 points.
But while not everyone could get a V-Bucks prize, Epic Games have confirmed that those player who completed 50 or more Showdown matches will get a spray soon.
The final scoring also suggests that the Fortnite Battle Royale players that finished in top place had an average score of 97.62 per game.

Epic Games have teased that something big is being planned for E3 2018, and it looks like players can expect plenty more eSports competition moving forward.
Posting a message following the end of the Fortnite Solo Showdown mode this week Epic Games announced they were set to offer some big new prizes.
This will come in the form of new activities and will also be focused around both playing and watching Fortnite.
“Since the launch of Fortnite Battle Royale we’ve watched the passion for community competition grow and can’t wait to empower you to battle with the best,” the Fortnite statement reads.
“In the 2018 - 2019 season, Epic Games will provide $100,000,000 to fund prize pools for Fortnite competitions.
“We’re getting behind competitive play in a big way, but our approach will be different - we plan to be more inclusive, and focused on the joy of playing and watching the game.
“Stay tuned for more details about competitive structures and eligible platforms in the weeks ahead.”
This would suggest that the big pool of money mentioned above is all being saved for the first season of competitive Fortnite.
