"We can definitely scale up manufacturing"

D K Sharma, President of TAGMA, at the inaugural address shared his thoughts on how to optimise the tooling and mould making process.

We are very delighted at this inauguration ceremony of DMI 2018. The display is exceedingly great and the participation is very good. There are nearly and we are very happy as a lot of interaction will take place during the next four days. I am honoured that the industry leaders are here along

with the TAGMA team to encourage us. We will make sure that such exhibitions will move forward the technological innovation that we need and we are definitely quite ready to support the mother manufacturing industry.

Presently we cannot fight out the scale of some bigger manufacturing countries but we can definitely grow the scale. To better the level of production mould makers need to approach the customers/ OEMs even before the start of manufacturing. We should try to capture the expectations of the customer, the requirement from that mould far ahead of time. Earlier, car makers used to be very secretive about their designs. Now that has changed gradually. When we approach the OEMs, they are willing to share the designs. This will allow us to do a good job and we will be able to make the tools faster and as per requirement. Concurrent engineering is what will help us power through.
