Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

In another important decision, the Cabinet also approved an ordinance to set up the country's first national Sports University in Manipur. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, a bill to set up the University in Imphal is already pending in Parliament.

He said, the State government has already allocated land for the proposed University. Mr Prasad said, things will start moving fast once the President signs the ordinance.
