BLUEHOLE
Scheduled maintenance is now taking place, meaning that PUBG Servers are down.
Gamers on Xbox One will be unable to access the game for quite some time tonight as Microsoft prepare to launch a big new patch.
PUBG fans on consoles will have to wait around six hours before they can start playing again, with the outage beginning at 2am, BST.
While not quite as disrupting in the UK, players in the United States will lose some prime game time, with maintenance scheduled to begin at 6pm, PST.
“Xbox players: There will be a 6 hour maintenance period on our live servers starting at May 22 6PM PDT / May 23 3AM CEST,” a message from the PUBG support team reads.
The good news is that patch notes will be available before maintenance is complete, which will likely prove very exciting reading.
This new PUBG update is expected to include many of the improvements that were put through their paces on the Xbox One test servers.
This includes optimisation changes, such as a new method of reducing rendering times.
That's on top of increased vehicle and weapon spawns for Miramar.
The new map won’t be going live today, instead, developers Bluehole Inc. and Microsoft are launching that on May 24.
So fans won’t have long to wait to see all the big changes and play Miramar on live servers.
As mentioned above, the full patch notes for this update will be released during the server downtime.
This is the latest patch in line with a big Spring update being planned for PUBG on Xbox One and Xbox One X.
Recent test server patch notes can give us a glimpse and what might be included in today’s update, which can be found below:

Known issue:
After long play sessions (three or more hours) on the standard Xbox One and the Xbox One S, the game sometimes crashes. This has been a problem for some time, and we hope to solve it soon. In the meantime, there’s a simple workaround you can use. Simply restart the app every couple of hours if you plan on playing a longer play session.
