Bhopal: Congress national president Rahul Gandhi will have to address public meeting in 15X15 sqft tent on anniversary of Mandsaur firing, which left six farmers dead in police firing on June 6.
District administration has given permission for Rahul Gandhi rally with several riders. Congress will have to make arrangement of electricity, drinking water and fire brigade on its own. Other conditions which district administration has imposed include ban on DJ music and total ban of inflammatory comments to maintain communal harmony.
On June 6, 2017, six farmers were killed in police firing in Mandsaur. The farmers were protesting against the abysmal prices for their onion and garlic crops. The incident had triggered sustained farm protests in several parts of the country.
Administration has taken plea of High Court guideline regarding traffic and stated that traffic should not be disturbed. Administration, taking Supreme Court guideline regarding Loud Speaker use, has permitted only use of sound upto 10db or 7.5 db( whichever is low) at public rally. Besides, use of more than 5 db sound will be banned from 10pm to 6am on June 6.
Display of arm in rally has been totally banned. Instruction has been given to make arrangement of generator sufficient capacity. Congress will be responsible in case of vehicle theft. District administration clearly instructed that in case of controversy, rally will be cancelled. Instructions have also be given not to “misbehave with anyone”.
