KATHMANDU: One person has died and another sustained injuries after two motorcycles collided head-on in front of Shankar Dev Campus on Tuesday, police said.
Pillion rider 70-year-old Purna Keshari Kansakar succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Model Hospital near Bagbazaar. Another person who was injured, 40-year-old Pramodbir Singh Kansakar, is receiving treatment at the same hospital.
According to police, the motorcycle (Ba 29 Pa 2608) ridden by Pramodbir Singh Kansakar had collided head-on with another motorcycle (Ba 57 Pa 6311) in front of Shankar Dev.
Meanwhile, police have rounded the other biker for further investigation and action.
