BJP women rally reaches Brahmapur

The Mahila Suraksha Yatra of the BJP Mahila Morcha reached Brahmapur on Monday and staged a demonstration at the Ramalingam Tank in protest against rising numbers of violence against women.

A large number of BJP women activists of Ganjam district joined the rally.

“The Naveen Patnaik Government has failed to provide protection to women for which violence against them are on the rise in the State,” alleged leaders.

Senior BJP leader Jayanti Padhiari, convenor Babita Patro, State vice-president Pinki Pradhan, Anita Subhadarshini, BJP district president  Kahunu Charan Pati, senior leader Sisir Padhy, Morch district president Bananja Panda, Meena Dyansantara, S Rani, Manoranjan Pradhan, Mamata Rana, Sabita Sethi and Sujata Padhi were present.

On Tuesday, the rally began from Lathi village and moved through Konishi, Surala and Chikiti and reached Bomokei of Digapahandi at 1 pm. Pravat Sadangi, Sunil Sahu and Rabindra Sahu were present.
