RANCHI: Jharkhand chief minister
Raghubar Das on Wednesday attacked his
West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee and announced that her days as the CM were numbered.
Reacting to the violence in West Bengal following the May 14
Panchayat elections where BJP supporters were allegedly beaten up by the workers of the ruling Trinamool Congress, Das said Banerjee and all the opposition parties are disconcerted by the rise and rise of BJP.
“What happened in West Bengal must be condemned. She must know that the people are the ultimate authority in a democracy. The people of Bengal will vote the BJP to power in the next elections. It is a 200% guarantee,” Das said.
Das continued his verbal volleys against the
TMC government by saying: “The Hindus have become second class citizens in the state as Ghusbaithiye (intruders) have become citizens of the first order there.”
Condemning a local media report which said that patients from Dumka district of Jharkhand were not admitted in government hospital in Rampurhat, Das said he will take up the matter with Union home minister Rajnath Singh. “This is unacceptable. I have also directed the chief secretary to take up the matter with his West Bengal counterpart,” the CM added.
