ST. LOUIS – Jean Peters Baker, the Prosecuting Attorney of Jackson County, Missouri, has been named the special prosecutor in the invasion of privacy case against Governor Eric Greitens, a press release from the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's office said.

The invasion of privacy case against Greitens was dropped last Monday, but Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner's office said they hoped the case would be refiled and taken up by a special prosecutor.

Earlier on Monday, Judge Rex Burlison ruled that Gardner and her office could not be involved in the invasion of privacy case or any other cases brought against the governor.
