The second annual Best Dam Motorcycle Poker Run will take place June 2.

Registration will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. at Atwood Lake Park’s Welcome Center, 9500 Lakeview Road, Mineral City. This year’s route is 125 miles of state, county and township roads with stops at or near five dams or levees. Participants can take their time, grab an ice cream at one of nearby ice-cream stands, and enjoy the view as they pick a card for their poker hand.

Proceeds from this event will benefit Save 22, a local, non-profit organization dedicated to the awareness and prevention of veteran suicide.

The last bike in will be by 3 p.m. at the Lighthouse Bistro at Atwood Lake’s West Marina, 9280 Atwood Lake Road NE, Mineral City. Dinner will take place from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Brian Lisik will perform music from 2 to 5 p.m.

A show of hands will take place, and door prize winners will be announced at 4 p.m. The grand prize will be a two-night stay at Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast in Dellroy, a weekday boat rental from Atwood Lake Boats and gifts cards to area restaurants, the Lighthouse Bistro and The Atwood Dock Marina and Grill.

Cost is $30 for individuals or $50 for couples and will include a poker hand and dinner.
