SANDWICH – Two Earlville residents have been arrested after a months-long investigation into heroin sales in the Earlville and Sandwich areas.

David W. Jaco, 28, and Breana L. Leppert, 30, both of Earlville, were arrested Thursday afternoon in the 1300 block of North Main Street in Sandwich on LaSalle County warrants for unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.

According to the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team, both Jaco and Leppert delivered heroin to agents on several occasions.

The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team was assisted in its arrest by the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police K-9 and LaSalle County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Jaco and Leppert were taken to LaSalle County Jail. Jaco needs $100,000 for release on bond and Leppert needs $50,000.
