Actor Tejaswini Pandit will be turning a year older today and she is looking forward to spending time with her family and friends. The Ye Re Ye Re Paisa actor wrapped up the shoot for her untitled next, which is based on a true incident. She has now decided to take a couple of days off. “I have been working on my birthday for many years now. However, I do squeeze some time out for the kids at Mamta Foundation in Pune. This year, I am not shooting and my friends from Nashik and Pune are coming down to spend the day with me. Most importantly, my husband Bhushan (Bopche), who works in the US, is in town,” says Tejaswini.

The Deva (2017) actor adds that her friends and family plan a surprise for her every year, but, she hates surprises. “This year, they told me that there is going to be no surprise. Trust me, it is a surprise in itself that they are agreeing with a low key celebration,” laughs Tejaswini, who plans to celebrate the big day by hanging out at home, going for a movie and ending the night with a nice dinner.

The actor shares that she had stopped celebrating her birthday at the age of 13, and prefers to keep it that way. “Interestingly, Bhushan is not a romantic person at all and he can’t keep a secret. So, even if he wants to plan something special, he ends up revealing it to me. We have been together for 14 years now, so we exchange practical gifts, and yes, he pampers me on my birthday,” she says.

Tejaswini plans to take a step ahead this year and do something more in the field of acting. “To start with, I am looking at some grooming sessions in the field of acting. Also, I am reading a few Marathi plays and hopefully I will zero down on something. Theatre is something I love doing. On the film front, a Marathi project on the lines of Baahubali is on the cards. It will be a career changer for sure.”
