Brandi Chastain is a soccer icon.

Her 2018 Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame plaque may soon join the ranks of infamous likenesses that look nothing like the person they are trying to depict.

Chastain's plaque looks more like Babe Ruth's bronze panel at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

"It's not the most flattering but it's nice," Chastain said in a video made by the San Jose Mercury News.

The plaque could join the ranks of "Scary Lucy," the derided — and eventually replaced — statute that frightened visitors to Lucille Ball Memorial Park in the actress' western New York hometown of Celoron, Chautauqua County.

The uproar over the Chastain plaque was also drawing comparisons to a bust of Cristiano Ronaldo that was mocked after its unveiling.

Baskeball great Tim Hardaway was also inducted into the Bay Area Hall of Fame
