World Cup 2018 snubbed players – Man Utd, Chelsea and Barcelona stars among those left out
THE WORLD CUP is just around the corner, but a host of high-profile stars will not be there after getting snubbed from their respective country's squad.
World Cup fever is starting to set in with the excitement building as final 23-man squads are announced ahead of Russia 2018.
There were few surprises in Gareth Southgate’s England team, with Joe Hart and Jack Wilshere the only high-profile casualties who did not make the cut.
However, the same cannot be said for Spain as a huge number of Premier League stars including Chelsea trio Cesc Fabregas, Pedro and Alvaro Morata were omitted.
The frightening depth of France’s talent pool means the likes of Anthony Martial, Alexandre Lacazette and Karim Benzema will all be left at home – but who else is set for a summer on the sofa?
