Members of the homicide unit remained at the house Tuesday morning and the bodies were moved from the home into a police van at about 8 a.m.

Investigators did not provide any more details but said the death is considered suspicious.

Workers with the city's animal services department were seen carrying at least 10 kennels from the home.

Six neighbours gathered outside told CBC News police previously were at the home for another incident in 2009. All of the neighbours declined to provide their names.

The husband and wife who live in the home are in their early 50s, neighbours said, and he was often seen jogging in the area.

Neighbours said the husband was seen working in the yard Monday afternoon and other people were seen in the driveway in the evening not long before police arrived.
