Sandy Valley's Brian Gamble was named Division III Coach of the Year as the East District all-star baseball teams were announced on Monday.
Gamble guided the Cardinals to an Inter-Valley Conference North crown and a sectional title, the first time since 1978 that the program accomplished the same feat in the same season.
In Division I-II, Steubenville's Alec Taylor was the Player of the Year and John Glenn's Brad Barclay was the Coach of the Year.
In Division III, Edison's Tristan Haught was the Player of the Year.
In Division I, Toronto's Nolan Clegg was named Player of the Year and his coach, Brian Perkins, claimed Coach of the Year honors.
Clegg was named the Overall Player of the Year. Taylor and Tri-Valley's Dalton Crowley were named to the Mizuno Game and Zanesville's Brandon Pritchard is an alternate.
