• Clippers: Triple-A Columbus (22-21) defeated Toledo, 5-3, for its fourth win in a row. Third baseman Yandy Diaz was 3-for-4 with a two-run double for the Clippers.

• RubberDucks: In the first game of a doubleheader, Shao-Ching Chiang improved to 4-1, and host Double-A Akron beat Trenton, 4-3. Chiang went 6 2/3 innings and struck out six. Right fielder Connor Marabell was 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI, and catcher Sicnarf Loopstok had two RBI. In the second game, the RubberDucks (26-19) completed a sweep with a 6-3 victory. First baseman Bobby Bradley was 3-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored.

• Hillcats: Right fielder Mitch Longo (Mayfield) and third baseman Gavin Collins each drove in two runs as advanced Single-A Lynchburg beat host Myrtle Beach, 8-2. Longo finished with two hits, including a double. He’s batting. 310 with 11 doubles and 16 RBI.

• Captains: In the completion of a suspended game from May 21, host Dayton scored the game-winning run on a single in the ninth inning to beat Single-A Lake County, 5-4. The Captains had tied the game at 4-4 in the eighth on solo home runs by Ulysses Cantu and Oscar Gonzalez. Lake County (20-25) avenged the defeat with a 2-1 victory in the second game.
