Lewis Avenue at the Broken Arrow Expressway is reopened to traffic after city workers hit a natural gas line early Tuesday, causing a leak.
The leak resulted in Lewis being closed in both directions.
The Tulsa Fire Department says a water department crew working on a 12-inch water line accidentally cut the gas line at about 1:30 a.m. at the eastbound entrance to the Broken Arrow Expressway As a precaution, Lewis was closed in both directions.
ONG workers have shut off the gas and are now working to repair the line.
Lewis from 12th and 15th is now OPEN but ONG will start their repairs to that gas line. And in case you’re wondering, Braums will be able to open! @NewsOn6 pic.twitter.com/V5F6uLXk6j
