Whitefield Road Overview:-
Whitefield Road, situated on the eastern parts of the Bangalore city, has now become the IT Hub for the city. Almost all the big IT companies have set their foot in this area. Today, Whitefield is more than just an extension to the city with leading IT giants such as Wipro, Dell and IBM finding their way to the first IT Park in India, the International Tech Park, Bangalore.This locality has changed radically. It comes under the purview of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). Surrounding areas include Brookfield, Chansandra, Nagondanahalli, Marathahalli, Varthur, Hoodi, Kadugodi, Varthur. Because of IT sector in nearby localities, infrastructure is also booming day-by-day.

Connectivity:-
The two major 4-lane roads connecting to Bangalore with Whitefield have come up with Whitefield road through Mahadevapura and Varthur road by Marathahalli.

Whitefield railway station is also close by and has good connectivity with Hebbal railway station, Banaswadi railway station and Kodigehalli railway station. Bangalore East railway station is also situated at a close distance of 18.7 km.

This area enjoys excellent connectivity to Kempegowda International Airport (46 km farther) can be covered in 1 h 20 m.

Whitefield Main Road, Borewell Road, Hoodi Main Road and HAL Old Airport Road are the major roads which further connect it to the Whitefield Hoskote Road or SH35.

Factors for future growth:-
Companies like ITPL, Oracle, IBM, IGate, SAP Labs and several other IT companies have established here. This also increased in need for residential properties.

Namma Metro has proposed extension of Line covering 13 stations between Byappanahalli and Whitefield and many more route extensions are currently under construction. The proposed metro line is sure to benefit both residential and IT belts in Whitefield.

Apart from that, improved connectivity to the International Airport, two major 4-lane roads presence of employment hubs such as ITPL in Whitefield, good connectivity to other parts of the city and upcoming physical infrastructure have been a plus point for this locality to serve residential demand and consistent rental yield.

Whitefield area has been hit by traffic due to ongoing Metro construction in the area. The government in the state budget has made a proposal to take up the development of 14 roads by April 2018, providing alternative connectivity to ITPL to mitigate the inconvenience caused by high vehicular density.

And, everyone knows what a Metro project can do for a region. If it keeps its deadline, Metrorail Phase II will be functional in 2020.

Metrorail Phase II connecting Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield, and the Peripheral Ring Road (PRR) and construction of 14 roads both these projects promise to address Bengaluru’s traffic woes, especially those faced by residents of localities in and around Whitefield.

Infrastructural Development (Social & Physical):-
Some of the malls include Park Square Mall, Inorbit Mall, and the Forum Value Mall are in the vicinity which would be easy for shopping for the neighborhood resident.

Several reputed educational institutions of international standard are established to facilitate the residents of this place.  Prajval Vidya Niketan, S.N. Vidyamandir Nursery School, Sisa Pre Primary School are some of the famous education institutions.

Renowned medical care centers like Karunashraya and Satya Sai Hospital are located in this region.
