BENGALURU: A bus rammed into a
stationary vehicle killing seven persons, including five women, and injuring 20 others in
Tumakuru district in Karnataka, police said on Monday.
The bus carrying pilgrims was returning from Chowdeshwari temple in the district when it crashed into another bus parked on the roadside on Sunday night.
The mishap occurred after the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle.
Police said while three of them died on the spot, others succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.
The injured have been admitted to various hospitals in Tumakuru district.
