Bank officer shot dead in Bihar

A was shot dead today by three bike-borne miscreants in Bihar's district, police said.

Alok Chandra, a probationary with of Baroda in Arwal, was on his way to office from on a motorcycle when the miscreants intercepted his vehicle near Nehalpur diversion in station area and pumped three bullets into him, Aman Anand said.

The reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained, the SHO said.

"The officer, a man in his mid-30s, died on the spot. His body has been sent to sadar hospital for post-mortem," the officer said.

No one has been arrested in this connection so far but the police are investigating into the matter, he added.
