Art of Giving: 16K fed ‘with love’ in Keonjhar

The fifth International Day of Art of Giving initiated by social worker Achyuta Samanta was observed across Keonjhar district.

The motto of this year was Pyar Bhara Pack, that is feeding with love. Various organizations and institutions joined the celebration by distributing food to needy people in different places.

About 16,000 people were distributed free food in 47 places of 10 blocks and two municipalities. 48 villages and 5 institutions were covered in the programme.

In IDA, Banajodi free clothes were distributed to the needy people.

The Tata sponge organised the feeding at Beleipada Colony while Barbil Rotary Club distributed food in hospital and near St Mary School in

Barbil Municipality. Fruits, biscuits, cakes etc were also distributed in periphery villages of Banspal block by volunteers.

Apart from the prime organiser, KIIT and KISS, voluntary organisations Jagrata, Wosca,Ananda Ashram, Cassandra, IDA, Vidyabhawan, Rotary Club, Barbil participated. Tribal leader Jhuria Munda organised a feast for1,000 villagers at Guali. The KISS Guardians’ Association also conducted feeding programme in some places.
