BETHEL — Parents can get a better understanding of how the upcoming renovations to Rockwell and Johnson elementary schools will affect their kids at a meeting Tuesday.
Superintendent Christine Carver and Rizzo Construction Corp., the company leading the project, will review the logistics of the renovations at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the middle school auditorium.
Carver and Rizzo will discuss strategies to ensure students will remain safe and will experience little disruption during construction. Other topics include phasing of work and space, traffic plans, and safety and security.
The district earlier this month earned a state grant that will cover up to 45 percent of the cost of the $65.8 million project.
