KATHMANDU: A police team deployed by the Metropolitan Crime Division, Kathmandu on Monday has arrested a Jordanian national in possession of counterfeit foreign currencies from Tribhuvan International Airport.
66-year-old, Mazin Abdiljabar Taleb Alsakiymeh bearing passport E91533501 was arrested from TIA this morning, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, police frisked the suspect and recovered counterfeit USD 6,800, 22 torn Omani rial with denomination of 50, 16 torn USD 100 bills, 25 Saudi riyal with denomination of 500 and Us visa traveler cheque of USD 500.
Further investigation into the case in underway, police said.
