The airline mentioned to one of the leading news media agencies that ‘severe’ travel disruption is expected as French air controllers call to join the industrial action. But it also added that the extent of cancellations is yet to be clear.

It said that on account of yet another French ATC strike, Ryanair is compelled to inform customers that it had no option but to cancel several flights on 22nd May.

It added that due to such an unjustified ATC strike, one might also expect delays to flights to/ from/ over France and they would advise customers scheduled to travel on Tuesday to check the status of their flight on the official website of Ryanair.

Ryanair flights from Dublin to Carcassonee, Ibiza and Biarritz have been cancelled for Tuesday that is 22nd May.

Aer Lingus has mentioned that it is also expecting ‘some operational disruption’ this week. It has been advising passengers to travel to France to check the status of their flight online prior to travelling to their departure airport. If the strikes continue, flights operating through French airspace including some routes to Portugal or Spain might also be impacted.

Both Ryanair and Aer Lingus say affected passengers will be notified by email or SMS, with the full extent of flight cancellations likely to emerge later today as French authorities release information about the scale of the industrial action.

Airline passengers whose flights are cancelled are entitled to a full refund, rebooking onto the next available flight, or rebooking onto an alternative route.
