Caprese Cheesy Bread
- 1 loaf ciabatta bread, sliced in half
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella or Italian cheese blend
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced thin
- 1/4 c. balsamic vinegar glaze
- 2-3 tablespoon sliced fresh basil
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F or BROIL setting.
- Place bread halves on a large baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine the butter and garlic salt till well blended.
- Spread the butter mixture over the bread halves.
- Sprinkle with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Set slices of tomato over the top of the cheese.
- Place the bread into the oven and cook till the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and add fresh basil to the top of the hot cheese bread.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
- Cut into slices and serve!
