Locals find body of unidentified man at Vashi creek in Navi Mumbai

A decomposed body of an unidentified man was found in the Vashi creek on Monday. Locals, who spotted the floating body, informed the police. The Vashi police are going through missing person reports to identify the body. “It appears that the body has been in the water for a long time, as the flesh has been eaten by fish. We have sent the body to a civic hospital for examination,” said S Gite, police inspector, Vashi station. No superficial injuries were spotted, he added.
