IPL 2018: Actor Ranbir Kapoor to host prelude to final

Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor will host a two-hour prelude to the Indian Premier League (IPL) finale and will be joined by fellow actors Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandes, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, read a statement released by the tournament’s broadcaster.

The event will precede the coverage of the IPL 2018 final on May 27. Broadcast in six languages, the Marathi coverage of the final will have actors Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Swwapnil Joshi.

The final is set to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.

The four teams to have qualified for the IPL 2018 play-offs are Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

The first play-off will see the top two, CSK and SRH, face off at Wankhede on Tuesday.

It will be followed by the eliminator between third-placed KKR and fourth-placed RR at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on Wednesday.

The winner of the eliminator will then take on the losing side from the first play-off in Kolkata on Friday for a spot in Sunday’s final.
