Meghan Markle fans TROLL Ashley Cole on her wedding day four years after she rejected him
MEGHAN MARKLE fans were left wondering where Ashley Cole watched her royal wedding to Prince Harry, four years after the new royal rejected a date with him.
Cheryl’s ex-husband once contacted Meghan Markle in the hopes of going on a date with her, following her divorce from her first marriage to Trevor Engleson.
And fans of the Suits actress couldn’t help but think of the footballer on her big day.
One person commented on Twitter: “Lol Meghan turned down a date with Ashley Cole. Babe had her focus.”
Another said: “The most fascinating aspect of this story isn’t even the Ashley Cole bit.
“It’s the fact Meghan was trying to find a high profile, eligible bachelor. I mean, she couldn’t have done better in her mission.”
A third added “I wonder where Ashley Cole is watching the #RoyalWedding.”
Journalist Katie Hind recently revealed on ITV show Lorraine that she had met up with Meghan whilst she was doing press in the UK four years ago.
Spilling details on their meeting, she said she warned Meghan away from Cheryl’s ex.
Kate divulged: “We had a nice chat and she got her phone out and she said 'Do you know this guy called Ashley Cole'?
“I’m like ‘Yeah’, and she said 'He keeps messaging me and he wants to go on a date what do you think'?

"And I'm like 'Oh god, no'.
"I just said to her 'no stay away from him'."
Katie continued: "She was just divorced from her husband and we discussed how hard it was to find a man.
"She was different in that she could have an interesting conversation, it wasn't like she was self-obsessed or wanted to talk about herself the whole time."
Meghan now holds the title, Duchess of Sussex, after tying the knot to Harry in St George’s Chapel on Saturday.

Following their nuptials, three official photos from their big day have been released by Kensington Palace.
In one group shot, which was taken by celebrity photographer Alexi Lubomirksi, Harry and Meghan take centre stage as they’re surrounded by their royal family members.
The bridesmaids and pageboys can also be seen in the image.
A stunning black-and-white shot showed the happy couple relish in each other’s company after they exchanged vows.
The photographs were intended as a final thank-you present from the royal family to all those who showed their support.
