‘Bring it on' Jeremy Corbyn could win ANY election against Tories says union boss
UNION leader, Len McCluskey has told Conservative backbenchers to “bring it on” as he claimed Jeremy Corbyn could win any election against Theresa May and her party.
Unite union leader, Mr McCluskey claimed the Labour party would win any elections in the forthcoming months or years.
Mr McCluskey, the General Secretary of Unite told BBC’s John Pienaar: “Jeremy Corbyn took us within touching distance of power just 12 months ago.
“Whenever I see either Theresa May or her backbenchers talking about challenging and going for a snap election in Autumn, I think ‘bring it on.’
“Whenever there is an election, whether that be in Autumn, whether it be later in the year, whether it be early next year, or whether it be in four years time, Labour will win that election.

“Ordinary and decent people will have an alternative and a much better Britain.”
Mr McCluskey is the leader of Britain’s largest trade union, Unite the Union.
Unite donated £11m to Labour since Corbyn’s election and has 1.4 million members, and it is the party’s largest financial backer and its most powerful affiliate.
Mr McCluskey's comments come after Labour failed to win key London councils, such as Barnet, which was one of Labour’s main targets in the local elections.
Though Labour did boast the most council seats across the country, they gained control of just one council - despite hopes for a huge haul.
The Conservatives unexpectedly gained the majority of seats in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, as they saw an increase their council seats across the country.
Several Labour MPs, including John McDonnell and Dawn Butler backtracked on their initial boastful expectations from the local elections.
Speaking to Sky News Prime Minister Theresa May praised the Tories for keeping control of stronghold Wandsworth.
Mrs May said: “Conservative councillors have worked hard for local people here in Wandsworth over the last 40 years that we’ve controlled this council.
“Labour thought they could take control, this was one of their top targets and they threw everything at it, but they failed.”
