CBI suspects role of MLA
Kuldeep Sengar in falsely implicating
Unnao rape victim's father for illegal possession of arms. Sengar was brought face-to-face with two cops who were arrested from Unnao on Sunday. CBI had taken two-day police remand of Sengar on Saturday.
During the face-off, Sengar was questioned about making several calls to the SO
Makhi police station Ashok Singh Bhadauriya and also a sub-inspector Kamta Prasad. Sengar was also questioned about making several calls to the complainant in the case, Tinku Singh.
The call detail records with the CBI claimed that Sengar was in Delhi when the calls were made to the Makhi police station SO and also Tinku Singh.
The policemen who were arrested had revealed to the CBI that they had falsely implicated the survivor’s father for illegal possession of firearms.
CBI officials said that a chargesheet has been prepared and will be produced in the court by Monday evening.
Sources in the CBI said that Sengar might be booked under 120 (B) for criminal conspiracy for falsely implicating rape victim’s girl father under arms act.
The rape survivor’s father was sent to jail on April 5 for illegal possession of arms on the complaint of one Tinku Singh. He was brutally tortured and when his condition deteriorated on April 8, he was taken to hospital where he died during treatment.
